Responsibilities

As the Student Housing Application Administrator within GDSO’s Living Technologies Team reporting to the Lead System Architect, you are part of a collaborative and service-obsessed Information Technology Team, partnering with the aparto Operations Team enabling Hines to deliver an industry-leading Student Living experience. Through troubleshooting and resolving system issues within our Enterprise Property Management System, engaging with aparto Operations and other Corporate Teams, you will ensure the delivery of an optimal and frictionless End User Experience for our On-Site Leasing and Maintenance Teams, Regional and Corporate Users, and our Student, Short Stay and Enrolling Student Residents. With our growing Student Housing portfolio, this role will interact with and serve Teams worldwide. As such, this will be a highly visible and collaborative role across the Hines Organization, requiring the ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with other Teams from the peer level up to Senior Leadership across Hines.

 

This is primarily an in-office worker position reporting into the office four (4) days, weekly. Occasional travel (less than 10% annually) to Europe may be required.

  • Promptly respond to requests submitted through our HelpDesk ticketing system
  • Partner with aparto Operations Team to identify training opportunities for our On-Site Teams
  • Create and maintain End User Manuals
  • Leverage Project Management skills to organize multiple tasks from various Stakeholders
  • System Testing ensuring application fixes and enhancements
  • Liaise between our property management solution provider and our End Users to solve problems
  • On-boarding new site Teams and End User Management application security administration
  • System audits for process and data quality
  • Report development and management
  • On-site End User Training and potentially aparto Operations
  • Occasional weekend work and support for Turnaround
  • Supporting Management with corporate objectives and initiatives as required by aparto Operations and other Teams support
  • Collaborating with teams from different countries

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include: 

 

  • Student Housing industry property management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or other related work experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and service-obsessed approach to End User support
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Solution-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Even-tempered with a bias towards a collaborative work style
  • Proficient with MS Office 365 (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficient with collaboration platforms (i.e., MS Teams, Zoom, etc.)
  • Experience using or supporting StarRez or any other Student Housing Property Management System preferred
  • Experience using Smartsheet and PowerBI preferred
  • Related professional certifications preferred (i.e., PMP, DASM, ITL, etc.)
