Responsibilities

As a Compliance Manager with Hines, you will be responsible for communicating, driving, and proactively monitoring compliance with all applicable international and national regulations, policy directives and ethical requirements for all entities and assets in Hines Greater China. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Maintain a compliance monitoring program and collaborate with internal departments to ensure the implementation of required policies and procedures.

  • Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout the organization.

  • Review or modify policies or procedural guidelines to comply with changes to standards or regulations.

  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of compliance policies and measures, and propose actions to address any deficiencies or potential improvements.

  • Stay abreast of pertinent regulatory changes, trends, and industry best practices related to compliance matters. Assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes and discuss potential compliance issues with management.

  • Assist in the design or implementation of improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards through training or presentations on compliance related topics.

  • Assist in the preparation of pertinent compliance reports including topics related to; anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, third party relationships/conflicts of interest, government interactions, employee complaints register, employee code of conduct, gifts, travel and entertainment.

  • Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Qualifications required by AMAC regulations.

  • A minimum of eight years compliance experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English.

  • Good communication and influencing skills.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
