Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CPA to work in our dynamic environment.  As an Accounting Manager with Hines Private Wealth Solutions, you will play a critical role in financial and administrative matters, be responsible for accounting records and risk management for assigned entities and projects as well as the limited supervision and development of accounting staff.

 

The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in the preparation of financial statements, internal and external commission processes, financial analyses, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

Financial Reporting and Audit Support:

  • Participate in the monthly close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial  reporting.
  • Assist auditors with requests during interim and year-end audits.

 

Weekly External Commission Process:

  • Manage and execute the weekly external commission processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data delivery to Broker-Dealer and RIA partners, meeting their unique reporting requirements.

 

Monthly Internal Commission Calculation:

  • Ownership of the Internal Commission process
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in calculations and reporting

 

Monthly Payroll Allocation:

  • Coordinate and execute monthly payroll allocation.
  • Ensure proper allocation of expenses related to compensation

 

Compensation Tracking and Analysis:

  • Support tracking and analysis of compensation data.
  • Assist in preparing reports for management and stakeholders.

 

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist with the budgeting process
  • Forecasting revenues and expenses related to compensation, trail fees, revenue sharing, and dealer manager fee.

 

State Filings and Payments:

  • Coordinate timing and preparation of state filings related to financial operations.
  • Execute timely payments and ensure compliance with state regulations.

 

Ad-Hoc Financial Analyses

  • Participate in ad-hoc financial requests as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
  • CPA required.
  • Series 28 License required within six months of hire.
  • Three or more years professional accounting experience, preferably in a combination of public and industry
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and possess a fiduciary perspective in accounting, reporting, and asset management.

  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in the financial services industry.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong skill set to manage activities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to evaluate, train and develop employees and plan resources appropriate for the objective.

  • Strong analytical skills: ability to analyze reports and situations, understand larger objectives, and create a path in order to meet the desired objective.

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, proficiency utilizing accounting software.

  • Compose business letters, expositions, summaries, and reports, using proper format, punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
