Responsibilities

As a Facility Operations Technician at Hines, you will provide facility services to support safe, efficient, high-quality operations for all employees and guests of the facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Building Operations

  • Daily opening of Facility
  • Receipt of deliveries
  • Vendor escort (AOA compliance)
  • Guest/Passenger support
  • Parking gate monitoring
  • Daily operations and monitoring of HVAC system

Energy Management Systems and Resources

  • Data collection and reporting

Fire/Life Safety Protection and Alarm Systems

  • Coordination of required alarm system testing/inspection
  • Fire extinguisher & AED program management and reporting
  • AED program management and reporting

Risk Management/EHS

  • Safety Program compliance and reporting
  • SDS Program administration
  • Ladder Inspection Program
  • Eye-wash station management
  • Emergency Response Planning
  • Evacuation / Shelter Drill coordination
  • Arc Flash and Electrical Safety Support
  • Confined Space Management
  • Power/Hand Tool/Machine Guarding Support
  • Environmental
  • Spill Response Support
  • Hazardous & Universal Waste Support
  • Refrigerant Management Reporting

Partnered with the Facility Management, Engineering, and vendors, provide hands-on oversight of service providers and associated requirements for:

  • Landscape/Snow Removal/Parking Lot & Walkways
  • Pest Control
  • HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical Maintenance
  • Fitness Area Equipment
  • Fuel Storage Tank Maintenance
  • Miscellaneous Project Management as assigned

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Three or more years’ experience as a Building Engineer or equivalent facilities technical trade
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Must be able to pass all requirements for Air Operations Area (AOA) badge clearance including training, testing, and background checks. Maintaining AOA clearance is a condition of employment
