Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst – Investor Services with Hines, you will be part of the global Investor Services team, within the Hines Investment & Strategy platform. You will be part of a team providing support to the Institutional Investor Solutions (IIS) business, and will support Hines’ capital raising efforts within the pre-commitment stage of investor engagement. You will partner with other members of the Investor Services team to provide the support necessary to market the firm’s products and platform.

 

  • Act as a generalist within the team to flex between due diligence matters and sales support. The following responsibilities are a representative sample:

    • Utilize a database of historical responses to aid in the completion of due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), requests for information (RFIs), and inquiries from prospective investors and consultants; assist in the maintenance of said database.

    • Make use of internal training materials and guidance from assigned mentors, in order to educate yourself on Hines’ platform, strategies, and products; utilize this knowledge to create new content in the form of diligence responses.

    • Conduct market research within your assigned region, in order to contribute to more comprehensive competitive analysis, in the effort to communicate intelligence on competitive firms, products, and prospective investors.

    • Work alongside the IIS team to maintain our CRM system, which is critical to overall capital raising goals.

    • Support roadshow planning efforts, working with the IIS team and Investor Marketing.

    • Maintain up-to-date investor profiles for the purpose of event and roadshow prep for senior leadership.

    • Work with the Data & Analytics and Fund Teams to gain familiarity with track record and performance metrics, fund terms, etc; proficiently respond to investor queries with the approved metrics.

    • Responsibilities may also include responding to industry surveys, updating consultant profiles and databases, and assisting in the management of our subscriptions, data rooms and content library.

  • Communicate and collaborate often with Compliance, Data & Analytics, Investor Marketing, Investor Relations, IIS, Fund Management, and other teams across the Hines organization.

  • Embrace the use of technology, tools, and processes in order to co-create best practices for the team, while remaining nimble and efficient in our support of global capital raising efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, with a degree in business administration or related discipline.
  • Three or more years of related experience, particularly within institutional real estate, investment management, research, financial analysis or consulting role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proactive, can-do, problem solver attitude

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in a deadline-drive environment

  • Strong collaboration skills, evidenced by a team player mindset

  • Evidence of high attention to detail

  • Advanced proficiency with MS product suite

  • Ability to analyze and interpret various types of data from a strategic point of view, in order to draw conclusions and solve problems.

  • Experience with CRM systems, and content management software is a plus

  • Willingness to quickly learn new software/technology platforms
