Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineering Manager for Hines, a candidate must possess the skills to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and basis of design documents. Manage electrical engineering and MEP commissioning projects. Act as a trusted advisor to clients and team members. Direct and oversee subcontractors. Experience with building power distribution as well as critical mission facilities systems, including paralleling switchgears, utility switchgears, transformers, UPS, ATS/STS, battery strings, generators. Expertise in preparing technical documentation, Method of Procedures and testing services. Proficient in conducting all phases of equipment testing and integrated system testing (IST). Keep records and documents organized and ready to help manage critical incidents. Ability to communicate in writing to senior management. This role is responsible for a mission critical portfolio of locations. Ability to travel to sites to manage major electrical maintenance, modifications, and for site visits. Ability to participate in factory witness testing and design meetings.

 

The most important function of this role is to be a technical resource for all equipment related to electrical infrastructure. Requirements will include, but not limited to:

 

  • Develop site specific mops to manage and execute complete facility shutdowns.

  • Develop and train on-site staff to operate critical equipment.

  • Develop and manage three-year and five-year maintenance plans to include all critical equipment.

  • Maintain the client driven maintenance program and standards.

  • Maintain and incorporate the HINES standards.

  • Manage safety training program.

  • Develop a plan to review site coordination studies and manage all aspects of this program.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. PE, Professional Engineer preferred.
  • Ten or more years of direct experience in electrical infrastructure commissioning or a related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of the commissioning process for all electrical systems. Must be computer proficient in all industry standard programs and software. Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
  • Compensation: $156,800 - $215,710.
