Responsibilities

As Manager – Property Marketing, Brand & Performance with Hines, you will support the formulation and execution of Hines’ national marketing strategies by developing and implementing programs and initiatives for properties within the portfolio, creating tactical advertising and marketing strategies to support each individual property, and integrating media and property marketing technologies that enhance the visibility and presence of each community.

 

You will work closely with local project and regional development and operations teams to create a clear vision and marketing strategy for each asset, tailored to each specific local audience, while simultaneously aligning the properties with a portfolio-wide strategy.

 

You will be passionate about understanding the latest property-level marketing trends and emerging technologies to support effective promotion and leasing of projects in exciting and engaging ways. You will be a true collaborator, sharing these insights and best practices with marketing and communications peers across the organization.

 

You will be comfortable telling a marketing story by analyzing data and presenting that information to stakeholders. You will be an expert communicator, skilled at presenting to current and potential clients to secure and retain property management contracts.

 

  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans by assessing industry trends, opportunities, and threats to create effective response strategies, working with regional leaders to plan and coordinate advertising and promotional marketing campaigns, and executing marketing activities and programs to achieve revenue and business development goals
  • Leverage data to create and own marketing budgets for stabilized, active new developments and acquisitions
  • Effective negotiation skills vital for balancing the often diverse and competing interests of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategically monitor property performance via Entrata and GA4 and provide marketing recommendations to increase lead generation
  • Confidence in reviewing paid search and social performance campaigns and providing feedback on performance to agency partners
  • Provide operations with weekly and monthly marketing reports as needed, giving insights beyond the numbers and telling a story with data
  • Exemplify the definition of customer service to our internal and external partners 
  • Be confident in challenging leadership in Hines development and asset management as necessary to help educate on multifamily marketing best practices
  • Find excitement in training and partnering with on-site leasing and marketing teams to create engaging brands and property content 
  • Support initiatives and programs that drive public and client relationship strategy by participating in meetings and pitches with clients, investors, and equity partners, representing Hines in important industry events, and creating brochures, presentation materials, and other promotional and collateral products.
  • Keep abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training programs, business meetings, conferences, and other events, researching and/or subscribing to the internet or other professional publications, and/or utilizing other appropriate method(s) to obtain business and professional information, and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Five or more years of experience in marketing in commercial or multifamily real estate or related field
  • Experience working in multifamily marketing with vendor and agency oversight and management
  • Excellent project management and planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
  • A strong team player and ability to work in a dynamic, matrixed organization
  • Ability to interact with senior leaders, project teams and team members with knowledge and diplomacy
  • Familiarity with social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn) and associated advertising platforms
  • Experience working with property management/marketing platforms, e.g. Entrata, Yardi
  • In-office 5 days per week, with flexibility as-needed.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Compensation: $95,000 - $125,000; Houston - will be based on experience
