Responsibilities

As a Payroll Manager with Hines, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of payroll including payments to employees, tax withholding, and other deduction withholding. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Manage all daily payroll operations for US and Canada including accurate payroll processing, financial reconciliations, and tax reporting utilizing Workday processes and reports
  • Payroll taxing jurisdiction setup and maintenance
  • Work closely with HRIS and Benefits departments to ensure accurate setup of new earnings, deductions, taxes, etc.
  • Ongoing development of payroll team
  • Research tax notices and communicate with ADP
  • Research and resolve payroll variances
  • Audit pay and maintenance input information
  • Timely and accurate filing of quarter and year end payroll tax returns
  • Maintain strict confidentiality

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.
  • Ten or more years of payroll experience; five or more years payroll manager experience.
  • Five or more years multi state tax experience.
  • Workday payroll experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis and integrate analysis of data to discover facts and/or develop knowledge, concepts, or interpretations.
  • Ability to develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Ability to handle pressure, set priorities for workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret numerical data, address issues and errors, and implement corrective actions.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Indoors – 100%.
  • Operate personal computer and other office equipment.
  • Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate.
