Responsibilities

As the HR Operations Manager with Hines, you ensure smooth HR processes across multiple European markets, supporting talent acquisition, compliance, and operational efficiency within the organisation. They work with payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems, ensuring alignment with business growth and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with regional HRBP, they navigate employment laws and labor relations while driving process improvements. Strong stakeholder management, analytical skills, and adaptability in a dynamic investment landscape are key.  This role demands leadership in shaping HR operations to support a high-performance and diverse workforce. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders and external vendors to support talent strategy and operational needs both from a European and global perspective.
  • Ensuring alignment with European employment regulations, labor laws, and industry-specific standards to mitigate risk and support business operations.
  • Manage HRIS platforms, leverage workforce insights, and enhance data-driven decision-making to support business growth.
  • Lead HR initiatives that reinforce a high-performance culture across international teams.
  • Working with the wider HR teams on global projects, such as supporting the process of organization design and role creation/changes.
  • Overseeing implementation of Workday modules across European locations.
  • Working with the Global HR and Tax teams and internal stakeholders on global mobility cases.
  • Liaising with Country teams on matters impacting employee contracts and operations within HR.
  • Ensuring business understands the intent and adheres to HR policies and procedures.
  • Implement solutions and technology that enable streamlined workflow, workforce management, payroll and benefits administration.
  • Partnering with the Internal Audit Team on mapping out payroll and HR processes across Europe.
  • Providing effective support and advice to managers and employees and delivering operational people projects and initiatives across the employment life cycle.
  • Mentoring and supporting Europe HR Business Partners.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include: 

 

  • Eight or more years of relevant Human Resources experience, primarily as a strategic HR Business Partner and/or Generalist.
  • Extensive HR Operations experience: Proven track record in managing HR processes, policies, and systems across multiple European countries.
  • Cross-border HR expertise: Knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and labor relations across various European jurisdictions.
  • Process improvement and automation: Demonstrated ability to streamline HR operations, optimize workflows, and implement HR technology solutions.
  • Shared services or centralised HR model exposure: Experience working within or setting up centralised HR operations that support multiple countries efficiently.
  • Stakeholder management: Strong experience collaborating with business leaders, local HR teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies across different regions.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Workday.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and benefits administration in a multi-country setting.
  • Understanding of data privacy and GDPR compliance in HR operations.
