Responsibilities

As a Payroll Processor with Hines, you will be responsible for maintaining and processing activities related to all payroll taxes, union dues and involuntary deductions, such as, levies and garnishments, and updating procedures as needed. In addition, will be responsible for payroll preparation and processing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Maintain, process, and audit payroll for weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll
  • Prepare off-cycle checks on an as-needed basis
  • Prepare and distribute payroll cost allocation reports
  • Maintain high customer service standards
  • Collaborate with HR and Benefits processors to ensure accuracy of payroll and reporting
  • Audit pay and maintenance input information
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Assist with special projects to support payroll area
  • Perform related duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Two or more years payroll experience preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Workday payroll processing experience preferred
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and customer service oriented
  • Ability to set priorities and follows through
  • Ability to analyze and interpret numerical data
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to interpret responsibilities and possess initiative and willingness to assume additional responsibilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with coworkers and maintain a cooperative, productive atmosphere
  • Ability to edit reports and correspondence for proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar
  • Competent with MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals both verbal and written
  • Indoors – 100%
  • Ability to operate personal computer and other office equipment
  • Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate
