Responsibilities

As a Sustainability Summer Analyst Intern with Hines, you will:

 

  • Support the Environmental Strategies and Sustainability Teams in coordinating and implementing policies, programs and initiatives across the Hines global platform and working with broader Hines teams to successfully advance our sustainability strategy
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing initiatives across Hines Pillars that contain the focus areas for accelerating our sustainability efforts, attracting and retaining great talent, and aligning with progressive investor and client goals
  • Assist in the preparation of sustainability materials for internal and external stakeholders including case studies, marketing materials, presentations, proposals, and recommendations
  • Support the collection and analysis of relevant sustainability data
  • Support global and local projects by liaising with cross-functional Hines teams (development, investment management, asset management, operations, central functions and more)
  • Support with the preparation of responses to investor requests and due diligence questionnaires
  • Collaborate on carbon-related activities with Hines Carbon Strategy team

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Current Junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, ideally in Environmental Studies, Construction Management, Structural Engineering or Real Estate Management

  • To demonstrate a general understanding, interest and awareness of sustainability topics

  • Driven, rigorous, flexible, versatile and with good people skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team

  • To be a clear analytical thinker with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly, think logically and communicate ideas clearly

  • Strong organizational, communication, problem solving skills, able to prioritize and work independently

  • Excellent knowledge of MS suite
