Responsibilities

The Specialist of Business Development, Real Estate will help manage pitches and proposals across the Americas. The role is a strategic and relationship-driven collaborator who is detailed-oriented and possesses a broad skillset across several categories: proposal development, pipeline tracking and time management, with knowledge of the real estate industry.

 

 

Project Management

  • Project manage pursuit/pitch development, including development of a workplan to ensure RFP responses are submitted clearly, concisely, and in compliance with all solicitation requirements.

  • Organize, attend, and contribute to preparation meetings with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure alignment and responsiveness.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction to the satisfaction of internal client.

  • Facilitate debrief session with pursuit team to document lessons learned. Adopt a continuous improvement mindset.

Content Development

  • Develop content through original writing and the adaptation of pre-formulated content.

  • Collaborate and assist with composing the executive summary and key themes for major pursuits with the pursuit team.

  • Help develop and communicate win themes, strategies, and graphic design approaches.

  • Produce impactful graphics and collateral that reinforce key messaging and Hines brand standards.

Branding and Messaging

  • Drive brand consistency while addressing specific clients’ needs.

  • Facilitate the production of relevant and impactful graphics that reinforce key messaging.

  • Identify new ways to present material to improve pitches and proposals; and assist in maintaining the BD team’s internal best-in-class library of creative marketing materials.

Performance Analysis and Industry Insights

  • Tracks, measures, and reports on performance metrics (win rate, trends, and insights).

  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive activities, using insights to refine strategies for future proposals and client presentations.

Knowledge Management

  • Maintain a library of pitches/presentations, standard marketing collateral materials, case studies, biographies, and knowledge management efforts to aid in client acquisition.

  • Support the preparation of all deliverables related to the opportunity.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 4 or more years in proposal management, content creative, writing, marketing and/or communications
  • Experience in Commercial real estate preferred. Investment management experience a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing new business pitch materials and strategies
  • Ability to work with time-sensitive deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Experience working independently toward goals, communicating effectively with colleagues
  • Ability to lead multiple high-profile and complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with expertise in PowerPoint
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
  • High degree of energy, assertiveness, and creativity.
  • Ability to produce multiple deliverables quickly, while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on performance measurement and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, CRM systems, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Understanding of real estate and investment markets across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
  • Compensation: $35/hr - $40/hr will be based on level of experience.
