Responsibilities

As a Marketing and Communications Manager with Hines, you will lead marketing and communications. You will partner with internal team members and external stakeholders to develop and execute successful communications and marketing strategies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

Strategic Oversight

  • Execute a holistic communications strategy in conjunction with and as set by the regional CEO, City Heads of our three key offices, and key internal partners
  • Employ a metrics-based approach to evaluate communications campaigns and use learnings to inform future strategies

Executive Communications

  • Refine existing and create new strategies for leaders to communicate with employees
  • Draft and edit communications for senior executives, including internal and external presentations
  • Plan the frequency and channels of communication and coordinate partners across different areas of the business and the company

MarComms Execution

  • Support the full spectrum of communication and marketing needs of the region
  • Manage existing and create new content for use across multiple channels
  • Work with development and property management teams to define project-level marketing requirements and coordinate with the appropriate corporate resources
  • Manage marketing asset portfolios including collateral, stock building and city imagery, employee headshots, and employee bios and ensure information is up to date across channels
  • Support firmwide communication and marketing goals and champion brand and quality standards

Process Coordination and Enhancement

  • Facilitate the coordination and creation of responses to RFPs and other business proposals
  • Track timelines and costs to ensure on-time delivery within budget
  • Create library of modular communications that can serve as the baseline for building out frequently used artifacts
  • Monitor and contribute to the accuracy, timeliness and success of Hines.com and myHines.com

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or journalism from an accredited institution
  • Three or more years of communications and marketing work experience
  • Proven success in an individual contributor-type role, with experience leading a communication project through its full lifecycle 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and writing skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work successfully in a high-productivity, fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience building strong relationships - both internally (e.g., across business units and geographies) and externally (e.g., with PR firms, creative agencies, and suppliers)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat), social media and other creative platforms
  • Ability to give detailed attention to several projects simultaneously
