Responsibilities

The Technical Manager will be part of the Management Services department and will work closely together with various internal teams. Consequently covering a broad range of topics and enjoying a wide exposure to the organisation. She / he will be part of the growing Hines Netherlands team which currently encompasses about 30 individuals. The continued growth of the assets under management has brought about the need for this hire. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

       

  • To maintain Hines buildings (supported by local facility management teams) to good standards, meeting statutory requirements, befitting the fund strategy
  • Executing Hines global ESG strategy;
  • Contributing to the technical business planning and execution of HNL’s property management activities;
  • To have an understanding of technical responsibilities derived from (lease) law;
  • To coordinate and run tender and approval processes (ATP’s);
  • To initiate and executed major works (i.e. CAPEX / ESG projects) in close consultation with Property- and Asset management;
  • To coordinate tenant improvement and fit out projects;
  • To be the technical knowhow and sparring partner for the property and facility managers;
  • To have an understanding of actuals vs budget together with the financial department;
  • To contribute to presentations and recommendations to internal clients;
  • To safeguard that processes in-place are being adhered to;
  • To provide emergency support and crisis response as and when needed;
  • To monitor and follow-up on various ad-hoc actions and requests.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Have a completed a bachelor or masters course;

  • Have approximately two years of relevant work experience;

  • Have a ‘client is customer’ attitude in external contacts, focused on tenant satisfaction;

  • Have a positive attitude, is communicative and fosters a good team spirit;

  • Be accurate and have a good eye for detail;

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Powerpoint;

  • Be fluent in Dutch and very strong English, both written and spoken;

  • Be ambitious and motivated to work hard in an international growing business.
