Responsibilities

As a General Facilities Manager/ Property Manager with Hines, this role will support client operations by taking ownership of designated elements of the facilities management scope, leading projects, and coordinating responses to operational requests and escalations. The General Facilities Manager/ Property Manager will ensure service delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and a strong customer‑centric approach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Manage and lead a team of facilities professionals, including performance management, HR-related functions, project prioritization, and issue escalation
  • Oversee day‑to‑day facility or campus operations, ensuring janitorial and general maintenance services are delivered in accordance with Hines policies and client directives
  • Interface with onsite engineering teams and client counterparts to ensure uninterrupted business operations
  • Maintain a strong focus on hospitality, service quality, and customer-centric initiatives
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for operational, HR, and service delivery escalations, as well as critical decisions related to major contracts and expenditures
  • Supervise all service programs related to the condition, appearance, and functionality of the properties
  • Ensure prompt and positive responses to end-user requests and oversee ongoing contract programs to proactively address occupant needs
  • Ensure all site-specific documentation and reporting are completed accurately and on time
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting (monthly and quarterly), contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders related to the facility or campus
  • Ensure vendor performance meets or exceeds contracted service levels and client expectations
  • Provide project management support as required
  • Collect, analyze, and report statistical and operational data to assess facility management objectives
  • Maintain familiarity with all applicable management contract requirements
  • Monitor vendor compliance with insurance requirements and coordinate claims as necessary

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred; in lieu of a degree, ten or more years of relevant experience required
  • Five or more years of related management experience
  • Demonstrated P&L responsibility and budget management experience
  • Experience supporting financial institutions preferred
  • Five or more years of experience managing commercial high-rise properties (1M+ SF), campus environments, and/or property portfolios
  • Experience with leasing, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operations and facilities management preferred
  • Experience with critical systems environments desired
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems and facility management tools
  • Positive attitude, flexibility with work assignments, and a strong customer service orientation
  • Compensation: $152,000 - $208,890
