Responsibilities

As an Associate / Senior Associate in Investor Relations at Hines, you will play a key role in supporting and advancing the firm’s global client servicing and relationship‑management efforts across institutional, high‑net‑worth, and family office investors in the APAC region, with a focus on Japanese and Korean existing institutional investors. You will work closely with the global Investor Relations team, contributing to the management and enhancement of relationships with existing investors to drive satisfaction, transparency, and long‑term retention. The role will also involve collaboration with the Global Investor Relations team on cross‑regional initiatives and strategic projects. This position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently while delivering high‑quality work in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Lead and support a range of operational, analytical, and strategic activities within the Investor Relations team.
  • Communicate confidently and accurately with investors about Hines’ historical, current, and prospective investment vehicles, including fund performance, structure, and strategy.
  • Draft high‑quality investor materials, reports, presentations, responses to enquiries, and transaction‑related communications - ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with Hines’ messaging.
  • Oversee and support onboarding processes for APAC‑domiciled institutional investors, ensuring a smooth and compliant investor experience.
  • Manage regular investor communications, including reporting cycles, ad‑hoc updates, and timely responses to incoming investor queries.
  • Contribute to the ongoing optimisation and maintenance of the Investor Portal, including uploading materials and supporting communication distribution.
  • Provide analytical support for investor reporting, fundraising materials, portfolio updates, and ad‑hoc requests.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—Investor Marketing, Sales Management, Capital Raising, Fund Management, Finance, Asset Management, Legal & Compliance, and others across the Hines platform, to ensure seamless delivery of information and investor service.
  • Support broader Investor Relations initiatives aimed at improving client engagement, operational efficiency, and communication standards as well as the APAC local fundraising related activities especially in Japan and Korea.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of related experience, particularly within institutional real estate, in an investment management, investor relations, financial analysis or legal role.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, sound problem‑solving skills, and the capability to build productive, long‑term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on approach to problem solving with a background of taking ownership of issues, ensuring effective resolution
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Previous experience working with real estate concepts, investment structures, and institutional investment vehicles (preferred but not required).
  • Native or Fluent in both Japanese and Korean with business level English required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and financial analysis skills.
