Responsibilities

As a Director on the Investor Services team you will be part of the global team, within the Hines Investment Management platform, supporting Hines’ institutional client capital raising strategy. The team is responsible for managing the pre-commitment stage of investor engagement, extending from sales enablement to due diligence activities. You will manage internal stakeholders’ needs in order to effectively market the firm’s platform and enable sales of our institutional investment products. This position will report to the Senior Director, Investor Services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Collaborate closely with the capital raisers in our Institutional Investors Solutions team (IIS) and Fund Management teams to support capital raising efforts, including managing the agenda for coordination meetings. This requires a thorough understanding of the products being marketed, as well as the needs of the prospective institutional investors, to whom we are marketing.

  • Work with IIS team members to ensure timely and accurate maintenance of data in our CRM system, which is critical to measuring success of our capital raising strategy.

  • Develop, update, and own fund sales learning materials

  • Support operational standardization across the sales cycle by reinforcing consistent use of tools, templates, and engagement frameworks.

  • Embrace the use of technology, tools, and processes in order to co-create best practices for the team, while remaining nimble and efficient in our support of global capital raising efforts.

  • Lead end-to-end roadshow coordination, ensuring timely communication, logistical alignment, and seamless execution across CMG and IM teams.

  • Support industry meetings and follow-ups; create investor profiles, identify and track action taken on next steps.

  • Manage and maintain data rooms, including access control, content updates, and coordination with other Investor Services, Investor Relations and Marketing teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with current fund messaging.

  • Conduct proactive research to identify new prospects, track competitive landscapes, and understand capital flow trends that inform targeting and engagement strategies.

  • Create/coordinate content and update learning materials for the IIS team.

  • Responsibilities may also include responding to due diligence questionnaires, industry surveys, updating consultant profiles and databases, and assisting in the management of our subscriptions, data rooms and content library.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, finance, business, or related field from an accredited institution

  • MBA preferred but not required

  • Five or more years’ experience working for a large/multi-asset capital investor, with preferably some capital raising experience (but not required); real estate experience is desired by not required; financial services and/or real estate experience required

  • Experience in sales enablement and/or marketing (at least three or more years)

  • Prior experience managing complex projects in a deadline-driven environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proactive, can-do, problem solver attitude

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in a deadline-drive environment

  • Strong collaboration skills, evidenced by a team player mindset

  • Evidence of high attention to detail

  • Experience with CRM systems and willingness to quickly learn new software/technology platforms
