Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager of Enterprise Applications serves as the lead administrator and application owner for key business applications used across the Enterprise, ensuring optimal performance, and strategic alignment with business goals. Reporting directly to the Director of Enterprise Applications, the Sr. Manager will play a pivotal role in managing vendor relationships, supporting users’ goals, and driving application-related projects from concept to completion.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Serve as the primary product owner for Enterprise business applications.
  • Work alongside the Director of Enterprise Applications to define long-term strategy and roadmap for enterprise applications.
  • Act as technical owner and project manager SME to major projects involving Enterprise applications
  • Work directly with Application Support Group to provide support to users, addressing inquiries and resolving more complex issues and solution requests as needed.
  • Ensure enterprise applications integrate seamlessly with each other and with external systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and integration platforms
  • Maintain data flows and ensure system interoperability.
  • Liaise with vendor support teams to troubleshoot and escalate technical problems.
  • In partnership with Director of Enterprise Applications, manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging tools and features to enhance operations.
  • Maintain vendor engagement and meetings to review services levels, product updates and roadmap, and issues resolution.
  • Track and report on vendor performance and application enhancements
  • Lead special projects involving applications, including upgrades, integrations, and new implementations.
  • Work in partnership with Business Transformation Group (BTG) to drive requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and recommend solutions considering Hines current technology stack and potential new applications
  • Stay current on application updates, new features, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align application capabilities with business needs
  • Supervises administrator team, of at least one other team member and provides support and guidance to team members
  • Support GDPR and PII compliance through established security protocols and procedures

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution is strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in IT or a related field, with exposure to enterprise systems and integration projects
  • 5+ years of experience in supervising team of admins, analysts and/or outsourced partners
  • Demonstrated expertise managing and optimizing enterprise systems such as CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), ERP/financial applications, and sector specific tools (e.g., Argus, Juniper Square, Anduin)
  • Hands on experience overseeing system integrations using APIs, middleware platforms and secure authentication models
  • Strong understanding of data governance, system architecture, security best practices, and SaaS application management
  • Proven ability to evaluate technology platforms, lead application upgrades, and manage application roadmaps aligned with business strategy
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and support processes for enterprise applications
