*This position will require project coordination and traveling in the Southeast region, with active projects in Nashville, Jacksonville, and Orlando.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Manager with Hines, you will manage all activities associated with the entitlement, design, permitting, construction and close-out of residential and mixed-use land development projects while acting in coordination with Hines’ project team members. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist in preparation and manage activities to comply with project budget and schedule
  • Prepare Request for Proposals and mange process through selection approval.
  • Prepare Consultant Agreements and Construction /Service Contracts
  • Coordinate design and installation of soft utilities working with multiple providers 
  • Assist in the evaluation and contractual due diligence for new development opportunities and coordinate predevelopment activities including survey, title review, environmental and entitlement evaluations
  • Direct activities of consultants, planners, architects, engineers, surveyors, and attorneys
  • Manage the preparation of all documents required to bid contractors’ work and the process whereby contractors are selected to perform work
  • Monitor and review contractors' work as it relates to budget, schedule and owner’s development program; administer change order procedures and contractor progress payments
  • Assist Owner and/or tenants in space planning, budget preparation, material selection, cost estimating, construction contracts and cost monitoring
  • Manage and develop Assistant Construction Managers as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in construction science, engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Ten or more years of land development related experience in the areas of design, construction administration, construction management or owner’s representative
