As an Human Resources Manager with Hines, you will partner with Central HR to coordinate the day to day administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs for the Canadian offices. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Maintain the Canadian Policy Manual, to include staying abreast of changes in provincial employment standards, updating policies accordingly and keeping an on-line version current/available to employees.
  • Responsible for responding and resolving policy-related questions, issues and grievances (HR, Payroll, etc.), general conflict resolution and coaching.
  • Submit STD/LTD claims, Worker's Compensation claims and Canadian labor law files.
  • Administer the Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) and leaves of absence (Parental, Pregnancy, Military, etc.).
  • Coordinate with compensation department to ensure competitive and consistent compensation and benefits policies and practices.
  • Coordinate visa work permit requirements; Coordinate with Counsel for permanent residency evaluation and applications.
  • Assist with new hire, transfer, increase, promotion and termination payroll authorizations for staff.
  • Assist with the background check process, including coordinating the collection of documentation needed to initiate a check.



Minimum Requirements include:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Five or more years of experience providing Human Resources Generalist support in a professional office environment.
  • Experience supporting Canada in an HR capacity.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian employment law.
  • Experience handling visa and work permit requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
