Responsibilities

As an Assistant Facilities Manager of Events with Hines, you will work closely with Amazon clients, internal vendors and key stakeholders to facilitate and support local Amazon events in the Seattle headquarters, with a focus on the Meeting Center. The Assistant Facilities Manager of Events will provide regular coverage and staff of Amazon events with an emphasis on building and maintaining relationships while providing the highest level of service and facility support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Supervision and scheduling of Events Team members
  • Functional supervision of event support staff (set-up crews, third party vendors)
  • Responsible for the coordination and execution of special events as requested by Amazon client
  • Leads site visits, planning meetings and final details meetings with Amazon customer and supporting vendor partners
  • Establishes and provides clarity to policies and procedures relating to Events Team support
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, service levels, and streamline work process
  • Responsible for tracking team progress through data metrics
  • Creation of monthly reports demonstrating team progress
  • Identifying opportunities for improving team communication and efficiency
  • Assisting in the planning and hosting of the occasional GREF-related event as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution; college degree preferred
  • Three or more years of event coordination experience
  • Three or more years of facilities management a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Visio or Cad experience preferred
  • Must be highly skilled in customer service
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours
  • Must be able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as a diverse array of clients
