    As an Instructional Designer with Hines, you will design and develop a full range of learning opportunities for Hines, including development of online classrooms, and virtual courses and programs. You will utilize technology in order to maximize outreach and align training offerings with business needs and processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    • Conducts need assessments to identify specific training needed and makes recommendations for addressing those needs
    • Designs and develops instructor-led and e-learning courses and programs for use across Hines
    • Implements and communicates availability of courses, programs, and curriculums
    • Partners with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure training content is current and the delivery method is appropriate
    • Updates current training courses and programs with the goal of establishing L&D’s reputation as a provider of top quality content
    • Evaluates vendor content to ensure applicability to Hines culture and training needs
    • Incorporates learning & development best practices and trends (i.e. social learning) in courses and programs
    • Develops internal marketing program to bring greater attention to L&D offerings and increase adoption and usage of resources
    • Assists Director in determining strategic direction of the L&D department
    • Provides back-up support for myLearning and assists with classroom set-up, as needed
    • Works with Learning & Development team to coordinate and host the Hines company-wide management orientation conference (MOP)
    • Actively participates in team initiatives which establish L&D’s credibility within the company including developing efficient processes/systems, increasing usage of myLearning, marketing learning programs, and building relationships with employees of Hines
    • Handles assignments and projects as assigned by the Director, L&D



    Minimum Requirements include:


    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution strongly preferred
    • Three or more years of Human Resources experience in a corporate business environment, preferably in Learning and Development
    • Demonstrated ability to design and develop training content from concept to delivery phase
    • Ability to take initiative, multi-task and manage multiple projects
    • Commitment to a Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) mindset
    • Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including reviewing work for conciseness and accuracy
    • Training facilitation skills strongly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of content authoring tools, preferably Captivate, and video conferencing platforms such as WebEx, Blue Jeans, and Amazon Chime
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Prezi, Powtoon and other presentation/graphics software, such as Publisher; Learning Management Systems, preferably Cornerstone OnDemand; and, SharePoint
