    Responsibilities

    As a Senior Publicist with Hines, you will raise the firm’s successful media exposure to new heights, expand a platform of existing journalist relationships and work with tenacity to proactively place global leaders in key industry stories. The ideal candidate will be a passionate PR expert who demonstrates a successful track record with strong media connections – preferably in areas such as commercial real estate and investment management. This position will represent Hines ownership, regional business units and project teams globally, in partnership with outside PR agencies, to proactively promote the firm’s experience, leadership, investment track record and other specialties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Generate and execute strategic public relations strategies and campaigns

    • Build strong relationships with key industry journalists

    • Research and write press releases, case studies and speeches

    • Collect key editorial calendars and pitch story ideas to key media outlets

    • Manage the firm’s Speaker’s Bureau

    • Manage special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements include:

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field from an accredited institution
    • Five or more years' experience in Public Relations
    • Agency and/or media experience a plus
    • Knowledge of commercial real estate and investment management preferred
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Excellent creative and technical writing skills
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
    • Exceptional knowledge of AP Style guidelines
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and accomplish shared objectives
